Selective Mutism Summer Packet
Another school year has come and now is gone. What are you going to do?
You as a parent should prepare and take the right steps to make sure your child's progress continues in September.
During the summer break, provide opportunities for your child to practice communicating such as the store, library, park or a restaurant. Practice talking with your child around other people as often as possible when out in public.
Invite family, friends and neighbors over during the summer to play games, hang out, or just have a good time. Playing outside with neighborhood kids will also help your child's anxiety during the summer.
The Selective Mutism Network is here to help...along with this packet of information, we will also include certain activities in your area for your child to do, helpful SM paperwork, and a daily SUMMER CHART so you can track your son or daughters progress over the summer.
